New workshop series due to start in March 2012

Kids Matters OT is beginning a new workshop series in March 2012.

1) Sleep-wise by Julia Eggles (OT) to help you learn how to get your child to sleep.

2) Toilet-time by Katy Berezovsky (OT) to help you learn how to get your child with special needs toilet trained.

3) Visual strategies by Robyn Skerret (SP) to help you learn how to get your child with ASD to communicate.

4) Social stories by Robyn Skerret (SP) to help you learn how to help your child with social skills.

Interactive Metronome - Home program now available!

We are excited to be able to offer a Home version of the Interactive Metronome program.

We can also offer intensive clinc sessions over the Christmas break.

For those clients who qualify, the IM can then be continued within the home based program.

 

 

Sensory Processing Talk

On Thursday October 20th 2011, Vivienne Williams - Principal OT of Kids Matters OT - will be presenting on Sensory Processing challenges in Autism and Aspergers Syndrome (for ASD/ Aspergers support group). This will include an overview of the common issues as well as some practical strategies to address these.

Venue: St Matthews Anglican Church hall, Cnr Oxley Rd and Sherwood Rd, Sherwood.

Play15 ASD in The Spring

We are happy to announce our second Play15 ASD workshop of 2011. Run by Julia Eggles, it will be held at our Albany Creek Clinic on Friday October 21 and 28, from 9.30am - 1.00 pm. It is an ideal companion course for anyone whose child with ASD is participating in, or waiting for therapy.  For bookings and further information, please contact our office.

Increased Hours at Northside Clinic

 Good news! We now offer clinic sessions at our Albany Creek Clinic, Albany Creek Community Centre, Mondays - Wednesdays, and Saturdays.  Monday and Wednesday hours are 9:30 am - 2:00 pm, Tuesdays are 9:30 am to 4:30 pm, Saturdays are 8:00 am to 1:30pm.

 

We are Moving!

From the 3rd October 2011, our new address will be Unit 2, 747 Fairfield Road, Yeerongpilly.

We are looking forward to serving our clients in the new premises.  We will have a lot more space, more modern facilities, and internal toilets!

First Play15 ASD Workshop for 2011

The first Play15 ASD Workshop for 2011 will be held on Saturday 5/3/11 from 9.30am to 4.30pm, at the Glenwood Community Centre, 21 Glasshouse Circuit Kallangur.

Light refreshments will be served, BYO Lunch.

We are excited to offer a clinic within easy access for our clients on the North Side of Brisbane!

It is open on Wednesdays from 9:30am to 4:30pm, and is located at the Albany Creek Community Centre, at the corner of Ernie St and Chapman Ct, Albany Creek.
